Introduction

The Magnet Fried Chicken, a local restaurant in upstate NY with a tasty and creative menu. The restaurant has not yet established a mobile app, I created a design to bring their image to a mobile app.

As this would be the first mobile app design for this restaurant I wanted to match the brand's identity as much as possible while emphasizing usability, through various interviews and trials this design was created. Allowing users to get an understanding of what The Magnet Fried Chicken has to offer.

Why Design?

The Problem

The Magnet Fried Chicken, a local restaurant that opened in 2020, has had a lot of success within the local community and a nearby city. The one thing that it is missing that is hindering its further success is, a mobile app. A lot of users expressed the interest in getting a meal from this restaurant if it was easier to order.

My first initial thoughts of this design was to incorporate elements to have a user friendly approach, from research and reading through reviews (mobile apps in the same industry) users expressed the need to have a simple design, yet appealing and allow them to quickly navigate the apps menu.

Then it was time to begin the design process.
